Margy: Hi! Welcome to Live the Tri-Valley Life. I’m Margy with Dudum Real Estate Group, and today I have a very special guest.
Glenn: Hi!
Margy: I’m here with Glenn Emery of Plasma Pen by Glenn. You have such a fascinating career and story.
Glenn: Thank you!
Margy: Can you tell us how you got into this cutting-edge field of skincare?
Glenn: Absolutely. I started exploring jet plasma and fibroblast plasma lifting because I noticed a real gap in restorative skincare. During COVID, after losing two businesses, I had time to dive into research. That’s when I discovered jet plasma. I took a course, got certified, and started practicing. The results were amazing right from the beginning.
Now, I’m expanding into more advanced therapies like spicule treatments, which use microscopic sea sponges, and soon I’ll be working with stem cells for groundbreaking anti-aging solutions.
Margy: Spicule therapy? That sounds fascinating—and it’s organic?
Glenn: Totally. Spicules are made from sea sponges. When ground up and mixed with water, they create a needle-like effect—known as mechanical microneedling. One session can achieve the same results as three chemical peels.
Here’s how it works: the product, combined with a serum, is pressed into the skin. Millions of tiny needles penetrate the skin, triggering new skin formation. It creates a peeling effect that eliminates age spots, sun damage, and other signs of wear. It’s a seven-day process with minimal downtime—just some redness for a day or two—and leaves the skin looking refreshed.
Margy: That’s amazing. I just had one of your treatments and feel incredible. It only took an hour, and you combined several techniques. I have no makeup on now, and my skin looks fantastic!
Glenn: She looks amazing, doesn’t she?
Margy: Tell us more about the methods you used during my treatment.
Glenn: For your session, I started with a deep-cleansing lymphatic drainage massage, then moved to steaming and skin scrubbing to prepare the skin. After that, I performed the jet plasma treatment, which pushes ozone gas into the skin’s subcutaneous layer. This builds collagen, tightens the skin, and creates a glowing, rejuvenated look.
Next, I applied an ice mask with ice globes to calm the skin, followed by red light therapy to stimulate collagen. Finally, I used the glass skin technique—an airbrush machine infuses serum and oxygen, leaving the skin dewy and glowing.
Margy: It’s remarkable, and your spa is so calming! I loved the Hawaiian music and the overall ambiance.
Glenn: Initially, I worked out of a hair salon, but skincare needs a sterile, quiet environment, which wasn’t possible there. I found this space in a medical-dental complex, and it’s perfect—peaceful, skincare-focused, and close to Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, and Concord.
Margy: The vibe is just perfect. What sets your approach apart in the skincare world?
Glenn: My approach is all about restorative work that lets the body heal itself. Instead of causing damage or breaking the skin, I focus on treatments that build collagen, create new skin, and exfoliate naturally. My goal is to help clients achieve long-term results through regenerative techniques.
Margy: That’s such a thoughtful way to approach skincare. Thanks for sharing your story and insights, Glenn!
Glenn: Thank you, Margy. It’s been a pleasure!
